Bliss Modeling Paste is an opaque, heavy-bodied, ready-to-use paste designed for adding texture and creating relief effects, making it ideal for textured backgrounds on a variety of surfaces.

It dries to a very hard, ‘stone-like’ opaque white matte finish that can be sanded, drilled, or carved, maintaining its volume and opacity without cracking, ensuring a long-lasting, textured surface.

It can be used on its own or mixed with acrylic color to create a soft pastel shade. Once dry, it can also be overpainted with acrylics, oils, watercolors, graphite, or dry pastels.

For sculptural texture, build up the paste in thin layers (no more than a quarter of an inch thick), allowing each layer to dry completely. To avoid shrinkage cracks, dry it slowly by covering loosely with plastic wrap. Each 5mm layer requires approximately 30 minutes of drying time. Small objects can also be embedded into the paste for additional 3D effects.
